  • Two deaths have been reported in Mumbai due to a wall collapse and electrocution in the heavy rains.
  • Schools, colleges, and offices across the city remain closed, with many shifting to work-from-home setups due to waterlogging and dangerous conditions.
  • Mumbai airport has experienced flight delays and diversions, while local train services have faced disruptions—but Indian Railways assures that local trains are running with resilience.
  • Waterlogging is severe in areas like Goregaon, Andheri, Kurla, Dadar, Wadala, Byculla, Vasai, and Nalasopara. The Andheri subway stayed closed for over six hours, and numerous vehicles were submerged.
  • BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) has pumped out 1,645 crore litres of water over four days to mitigate flooding.
