Actress Lakshmi Menon Named in Kidnapping Case, Police Investigation Underway
Kochi, Kerala – Popular South Indian actress Lakshmi Menon, known for her roles in Tamil & Telugu movies, has been named as an accused in a kidnapping & assault case involving a 27-year-old IT professional.
According to the complaint filed at the Ernakulam Town North Police Station, the incident occurred on the night of August 24 at a bar in Kochi. An argument reportedly broke out between the victim and a group that included Lakshmi Menon and her friends. The situation escalated when the group allegedly blocked the victim’s car, forced him into their vehicle, and assaulted him while driving to Paravur.

Lakshmi Menon has filed for anticipatory bail in Kerala High Court. The Court has granted her interim protection from arrest until September 17. The FIR includes charges under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including kidnapping, wrongful restraint, and criminal intimidation.
