NDA Vice Presidential Candidate: C.P. Radhakrishnan

The NDA has finalized its candidate for the Vice President of India. The decision was made during the BJP Parliamentary Party Board meeting held in Delhi on Sunday. BJP National President J.P. Nadda announced that C.P. Radhakrishnan has been chosen as the NDA’s Vice Presidential candidate.

C.P. Radhakrishnan has previously been elected twice as a BJP Member of Parliament from the Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency in Tamil Nadu. He also served as the Tamil Nadu BJP State President. From 2016 to 2019, he held the position of Chairman of the All India Coir Board. On February 18, 2023, he assumed office as the Governor of Jharkhand. Prior to that, he held additional responsibilities as the Lieutenant Governor of both Telangana and Puducherry. He is currently serving as the Governor of Maharashtra.

The NDA allies entrusted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President J.P. Nadda with the task of selecting the Vice Presidential candidate, leading to the finalization of Radhakrishnan’s name. The nomination for the Vice Presidential election must be filed by the 21st of this month.
